Abortion Review online www.abortionreview.org is an update and archive of abortion-related news, comment and medical developments, produced for bpas www.bpas.org. Access is free, and the website is refreshed weekly. A print version of Abortion Review is published quarterly.
The Alan Guttmacher Institute
The Alan Guttmacher Institute (AGI) provides reliable, balanced,
nonpartisan information on abortion, contraception, childbearing
and sexual activity. AGI's mission is to protect the reproductive
choices of all women and men - in the United States and throughout
the world. AGI carries out reproductive health research, policy
analysis and public education. Its three journals Perspectives
in Sexual and Reproductive Health (formerly Family Planning
Perspectives), Report on Public Policy and International
Family Planning Perspectives are available on the site.
Annual
Review of Population Law
This database contains summaries and excerpts of legislation,
constitutions, court decisions, and other official government
documents from every country in the world relating to population
policies, reproductive health, women's rights, and related topics.
It is produced jointly by Harvard Law School and the United Nations
Population Fund.
Global
Reproductive Health Forum
The Global Reproductive Health Forum at Harvard (GRHF), based
at Harvard University, aims to encourage the proliferation of
critical, democratic discussions about reproductive health, reproductive
technologies and reproductive rights.
The
Kaiser Family Foundation (Reproductive Health)
This section of the U.S. based Kaiser Family Foundation's (KFF)
site serves as a resource for the public, media, corporations,
and other interested organizations on reproductive and sexual
health issues, providing current information, conducting briefings,
participating in special partnerships and developing public education
campaigns. KFF also supply a, excellent daily e-mail update of
reproductive health news, which can be subscribed to via the site.
Progress
Educational Trust
Progress Educational Trust is a registered charity, set up to
promote the benefits of reproductive and genetic science. On its
site you will find information and comment about issues including
IVF, cloning technology and genetics. You can subscribe through
the site to Progress' excellent weekly update, BioNews.

Abortion Rights
Abortion Rights is a new campaigning organisation formed by the merger of the National Abortion Campaign (NAC) and the Abortion Law Reform Association (ALRA). Both these organisations have a long history in campaigning for law reform and the provision of easily accessible, woman friendly, NHS funded abortion services in Britain.
American Civil Liberties Union (Reproductive Freedom Project)
Through litigation, advocacy, and public education, the ACLU's
Reproductive Freedom Project seeks to uphold the rights of individuals
to decide freely, without governmental hindrance or coercion,
whether or not to bear a child. We strive to ensure that all in
our society have access to sexuality education, contraception,
abortion, prenatal care, and childbearing assistance. This site
provides details of the project's principles, activities and links
to other related sites.
California
Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (CARAL)
California Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (CARAL).
CARAL is a membership organization dedicated to defending the
rights of all women to have access to a full range of reproductive
choices. CARAL is part of the nation-wide organization, the National
Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (NARAL).
Catholics
for a Free Choice
Catholics for a Free Choice shapes and advances sexual and reproductive
ethics that are based on justice and affirm the moral capacity
of women and men to make sound and responsible decisions about
their lives. Through education and advocacy CFFC works in the
United States and internationally to infuse these values into
public policy, community life, feminist analysis, and Catholic
social teaching and thinking.
Center
for Reproductive Law and Policy (CRLP)
CRLP works to ensure that all women have access to appropriate
and freely chosen reproductive health services. On this site you
will find information about CRLP's projects on abortion and other
issues, and a useful summary of the state of relevant laws worldwide.
The
Feminist Majority Online (abortion rights)
The Abortion Rights section of the Feminist Majority Online includes
a special section on the Roe v. Wade decision, RU 486 information,
a chronology of the fight to make RU-486 available to American
women, and a well-described section of links to other Internet
sites.
National
Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL)
The NARAL Foundation is a charitable organisation founded in 1977.
It supports in-depth research and legal work, publishes substantive
policy reports, mounts public education campaigns and other communications
projects, and provides leadership training for grassroots activists
across the nation. Its site includes useful summaries of US law
and policy developments, news stories and pro-choice advocacy
initiatives.

Northern Ireland
A Pro-Choice weblog dealing with
reproductive issues in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Voice
for Choice
Voice for Choice is a national campaign by the Pro-Choice Alliance,
a coalition of organisations calling for long overdue reform of
the 1967 Abortion Act. The campaign seeks to end the widespread
discrimination and inequalities of access that occur in the National
Health Service abortion provision, and to secure for all women
in the United Kingdom the genuine right to decide for themselves
whether or not to continue an unwanted pregnancy.

Founded in 1977, NAF is the professional association of abortion

Parenthood

is a comprehensive source of on-line information regarding safe

Society
for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC)
SPUC was launched in 1967 to campaign against the Abortion Act.
Subsequently, SPUC has extended its activities to also against
other 'threats to the right to live', including euthanasia and
human embryo experimentation.
